About us

Founded in 1973, Alpine Bank is an independent, employee-owned organization with headquarters in Glenwood Springs and banking offices across Colorado’s Western Slope, mountains, and Front Range. Alpine Bank employs more than 800 people and serves 170,000 customers with personal, business, wealth management*, mortgage, and online banking services. Our customers tell us doing business with employees who actually own the bank makes all the difference. They cite our friendly service, flexibility in creating tailored solutions, timely local decision-making, and long-term customer commitment which can often spans decades. At Alpine Bank we believe that strengthening our communities is more than good business, it is our business. That’s why Alpine employees receive 24 hours of paid volunteer time each year, and through our innovative Loyalty Debit Card program, with every customer transaction Alpine Bank (not our customers) donates 10 cents to support nonprofits and charities in Colorado. In 2023, the bank gave $2.35 million to community causes through this channel. Alpine Bank has a five-star rating — meaning it has earned a superior performance classification — from BauerFinancial, an independent organization that analyzes and rates the performance of financial institutions in the United States. Alpine Banks of Colorado, the holding company for Alpine Bank, member FDIC, also trades shares of the Class B Nonvoting Common Stock under the symbol “ALPIB" on the OTCQX® Best Market. Fantastic event this morning with Illuminations 2024 presented by Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care! I'm honored to serve on the board of this fine non-profit, alongside incredible board members! This morning was amazing with nearly 300 in attendance hearing about the amazing service PPHPC provides our community. We were also able to honor John and Janet Suthers with the Quality of Life Award, presented by the Honorable Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Kyle Hybl and BJ Scott. Thank you to all who attended and those who have and continue to support the Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care! #PPHPC #Community #Alpinebank

As we close out Women’s History Month, Alpine Bank would like to posthumously honor one final outstanding employee—Michelle Bates. Michelle was a Banking Officer at Alpine and had been with the bank since 1994. She passed unexpectedly in late November, but we celebrate her longstanding volunteer work with the Snowmass Western Heritage Association, the organization that coordinates the Snowmass Rodeo. “Michelle was truly passionate about preserving the Western ethos within Snowmass Village,” said friend and former Alpine Bank staffer Carol Dresser. “She was the face of the Wednesday night volunteer effort at the rodeo grounds for almost a decade.” Dressed in her flannel and cowboy hat, Michelle would sell tickets, direct traffic, help vendors, guide volunteers, whatever the rodeo needed. And volunteering was a family affair too, she ensured her children, Mikayla and Jay, understood their Western roots. They learned the value of contributing their time and talents to the rodeo. “On rodeo nights, I knew how much she loved her family, her job, and her community,” noted Mikayla. “She showed us what hard work looks like." #WomenOfAlpineBank #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityChampions #WomenInBanking #WomensHistoryMonth2024

Christi Bloom is a Personal Banking Representative at Alpine Bank. She has been with us since 2023 and one of the organizations she volunteers with is the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), an invitational auto race to the summit of Pikes Peak. “For generations, my family has been involved in different aspects surrounding the Pikes Peak Hill Climb; from volunteering to being hired as special mechanics to work on the racecars,” shared Christi. Also known as The Race to the Clouds, the history of the hill climb dates back to 1916. Christi has been volunteering at the PPIHC for 10-plus years, mainly as a gate crew member and during the pre-race Fan Fest event. “Volunteering at the event is such a joyous service,” noted Christi. “You get to know new people from all over Colorado Springs and beyond, and you get to help in ways you would have never thought possible.” #WomenOfAlpineBank #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityChampions #WomenInBanking #WomensHistoryMonth2024

Katie Barnes is a Banking Officer for Alpine Bank. She has been with the us since 2019 and volunteers with All Points Transit (APT), a nonprofit organization that provides public transit services for seniors, people with disabilities, and the general public in Montrose, Delta, San Miguel, and Ouray counties. “Our town and our surrounding communities are growing and with that comes the need for people to get from one place to another safely,” explained Katie. “APT offers everyone access to transportation which can make a big difference in someone's life.” Katie serves on the All Points Transit Board of Directors and added what she loves most about APT is that they assist her family directly. Katie’s dad uses the service for appointments. “He always compliments how kind, friendly, and dependable the drivers are,” said Katie. “This organization and the people that work tirelessly for it, truly care about the people they serve, and it shows.” #WomenOfAlpineBank #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityChampions #WomenInBanking #WomensHistoryMonth2024

Jess Pierce is a Loan Assistant for Alpine Bank. She has been with the bank since 2022 and volunteers with Parker's Animal Rescue, a nonprofit that fosters and finds permanent loving homes for abandoned animals in La Plata County. “On a monthly basis, I take an adoptable puppy, who is currently living with a foster, around to the various businesses that sponsor Parker's Animal Rescue,” said Jess. “It not only is a great experience for the puppy but also grants them exposure to potential adopters.” In addition to its rescue efforts, Jess added that Parker’s Animal Rescue educates the public on the importance of spay/neutering and helps new pet owners with training basics. They also make sure each dog and its potential adopter are a good fit. “So much care goes into saving animals and finding them a forever home,” said Jess. “This organization is just amazing.” #WomenOfAlpineBank #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityChampions #WomenInBanking #WomensHistoryMonth2024
